Our fishing operation uses comfortable hotels in Pucallpa for our sports fishing guests. Some, like the 'Hotel Sol Del Oriente' have a pool, restaurant and all the other amenities you could want. In addition - there are other good restaurants, curio shops, casinos and entertainment within easy walking distance of the recommended hotels. This area of the city offers a safe and clean environment for the guest to relax and enjoy his visit to the Peruvian Amazon.
The Ucayali area of the Amazon has several different regions for fishing and that is why there is good fishing all year around. We will select the area where the conditions are right for the time you are down there and the type of game you want to catch.
(B) ARRANGEMENTS
1) Purchase a r/t to Lima, Peru & r/t ticket from Lima to Pucallpa - preferably 30+ days in advance of your departure. After confirmation of the flight by the airlines let us know; a) your arrival and departure dates / airline from Pucallpa (the soonest connecting flight to Pucallpa will be the following day after your arrival in Lima), b) how many fishermen in your group, c) what game you want to catch.
2) By email you can make your reservations for the hotels in Lima and Pucallpa. Go to this page for that information. The hotel in Lima will arrange airport transfers at your request. We will meet you at the Pucallpa airport and take you to your hotel there.
(C) EQUIPMENT AND TRANSPORTATION
1) Bring your own fishing equipment and lures. For suggestions on that go to these links:
2) There is one guide and boat for every 2 fishermen.
3) We will provide any overland transportation required to reach the fishing areas.
4) Lunch and cold drinks are provided for each trip.
(D) COST
The daily cost is $100.00/guest with two guests per boat. If there is only one guest in the boat, then the cost is $150.00. Look at (C) above to see what is included for that fee.
(E) DEPOSITS AND RESERVATIONS
We have a lot of flexibility here - but to insure exact dates and equipment readiness it is best to make a deposit and reservation for the days and types of fishing you want. This means we need to set up your trip at least two weeks in advance to be certain that all is properly prepared. However, we can always try to work on shorter notice and would work with you on as little as 24 hour notice. Deposit would be $200.00 - please notify us immediately of all your travel arrangements and deposit when you are ready. Banking information is found on the 'Contact Page' - the link is below.
